چکیده
This paper presents an analytical solution of the cross-sectional flattening-induced nonlinear vibration elastic tubes when subjected to transverse harmonic excitation. It is shown that equation motion describing beam-type can be characterized by Duffing with cubic nonlinearity, in which term reflects influence flattening on tubes. The degree nonlinearity found governed directly dimensionless amplitude force. feature and corresponding stability response under action excitation are discussed. Numerical examples provided demonstrate rationality present model.

Propagation of Matrix Cracking and Induced Delaminatin in Cross-Ply Composite Beams Subjected to Bending Loads
Due to the mismatch of mechanical properties in composite laminates, propagation of delami-nation is considered as a severe damage mechanism in beams with various lay-up configurations. Delamination can be generated due to matrix cracking propagation or it can also be initiated due to the manufacturing process before using composite beams. Using a micromechanics model, this study is aimed to in...
متن کاملDynamic Response Analysis of Fractionally Damped Beams Subjected to External Loads using Homotopy Analysis Method
This paper examines the solution of a damped beam equation whose damping characteristics are well-defined by the fractional derivative (FD). Homotopy Analysis Method (HAM) is applied for calculating the dynamic response (DR). Unit step and unit impulse functions are deliberated for this analysis. Acquired results are illustrated to show the movement of the beam under various sets of parameters ...
متن کاملNonlinear Dynamic Response of Functionally Graded Porous Plates on Elastic Foundation Subjected to Thermal and Mechanical Loads
In this paper, the first-order shear deformation theory is used to derive theoretical formulations illustrating the nonlinear dynamic response of functionally graded porous plates under thermal and mechanical loadings supported by Pasternak’s model of the elastic foundation. Two types of porosity including evenly distributed porosities (Porosity-I) and unevenly distributed porosities (Porosity-...

The main objective of the paper is to demonstrate the computer simulation and energy absorption of tapered tubes under impact load. The study of the impact load includes axial compression, bending and torsion. In general, one could rely on the use of finite element analysis to determine the energy absorption capacity of the energy absorbers. This tool is helpful and accuracy. The parametric var...
متن کاملVibration control using nonlinear damped coupling
In this paper, a dynamical system, which consists of two linear mechanical oscillators, coupled with a nonlinear damping device is considered. First, the dynamic equations are derived, then, an analytical method such as harmonic balance method, is applied to obtain the response to a harmonic base excitation. The response of the system depends on the excitation characteristics. A parametric stud...
